Green-Craft has worked with several schools on the development of a range of courses (see our links at the bottom of this page).

We have also provided courses for youth groups, schools, colleges and universities, as well as individuals and groups throughout the UK.

We can provide a range of courses that include:

Abo-chef

In a world of pre-prepared, microwaveable, sous-vide, takeAbo Chef away foods, its hard to imagine how we could cope without the trappings of a modern kitchen. This fun two day course (run in conjunction with WorldWild in Cornwall), looks at methods of aboriginal cooking from around the world, methods where you make full use of everything around you to provide you with what you need. The emphasis is on simplicity and learning the basics of outdoor cookery, without the modern gadgets & gizmos!

Pathfinder

“The man who goes afoot, prepared to camp anywhere and inPathfinder any weather, is the most independent fellow on earth”

(Horace Kephart)

Set on the beautiful Cowdray Estate in the heart of West Sussex the

Red-Deer Outdoors Pathfinder course is designed for anyone whose walks in the country are never long enough.

Learn the skills to travel lightly through the countryside and embark on longer adventures, carrying all you need to live comfortably without being burdened by the weight of the kitchen sink!

We will show you what you need to carry and how to use it. How to navigate, how to shelter, how to cook and what things nature can provide to lighten your load.

All of the skills you will be shown are designed to keep you safe in the great outdoors and keep the great outdoors safe from you. There is a very strong emphasis on minimising your environmental impact.

Go Primitive!

Want to try something different this weekend?

Why not GO PRIMITIVE!

Come with us and enjoy a family weekend in the woods learning primitive living and backwoodsman skills.

Get some quality time with your children and share with them in the outdoor experience.

Learn about wild foods, not only what they look like – but how they smell and taste and how you can cook them.

Spend a night in a shelter you have built yourselves using only what you can find around you.

Stay warm and cook over a fire that you have made without using matches or lighters.

These are just a few of the skills you could learn on a weekend away with us.

Our highly experienced instructors will safely guide you through the basics of living out of doors with little more than the clothing you stand up in.

Re-connect with nature and with yourselves as a family, share together in the learning experience that could change your lives!
