{"id":101,"date":"2010-12-28T22:18:58","date_gmt":"2010-12-28T22:18:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.greencraft.me.uk\/blog\/?p=101"},"modified":"2010-12-28T22:18:58","modified_gmt":"2010-12-28T22:18:58","slug":"trackstrails-disappearing-snow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.greencraft.me.uk\/blog\/?p=101","title":{"rendered":"Tracks,trails &#038; disappearing snow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well we got out together for a walk (Leon is in Devon &#038; I&#8217;m normally in Kent), the festive season has taken me to Devon to spend time with my family (the usual &#8211; eat too much &#8211; drink too much, the same as everyone else over Christmas).<br \/>\nWhen we meet up we normally head for the moors &#8211; either the open tops and wild expanses of the north or south moors or a wander into one of the many wooded valleys.<br \/>\nThe moors today was a place of crumbling atmospheres, the mist was clinging heavily to the ground and so we came off the tops and headed for the woods, a place that time seems to have forgotten.<br \/>\nThe moss hangs from the trees and clings to the rocks like an expensive carpet.<br \/>\nThe melt from the snow had caused the river to rise to almost deafening levels.<br \/>\nThe focus of our day was one of the most elusive residents of the valley &#8211; the otter.<br \/>\nOn certain parts of the river the local otters live and if you choose your time and look in the right places, then you can see plenty of evidence that the population is healthy and still as secretive as ever.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.greencraft.me.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/IMAG0076-Medium.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.greencraft.me.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/IMAG0076-Medium-179x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"IMAG0076 (Medium)\" width=\"179\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-104\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.greencraft.me.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/IMAG0076-Medium-179x300.jpg 179w, http:\/\/www.greencraft.me.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/IMAG0076-Medium.jpg 359w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 179px) 100vw, 179px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well we got out together for a walk (Leon is in Devon &#038; I&#8217;m normally in Kent), the festive season has taken me to Devon to spend time with my family (the usual &#8211; eat too much &#8211; drink too much, the same as everyone else over Christmas).
